Since we launched Vanolarm back in 2021 we’ve been delighted in the Anti-theft results our Smart Alarm, Tracking and Siren system has achieved.

With 10K+ sales to date, we have only ever been advised of 2 x Van thefts and 2 x Break-ins. Of the Van thefts reported the clients hadn’t armed their Vanolarm system and with the break-ins, in both instances the thieves fled the scene due to Vanolarm doing it job.

Statistically, given the rate of break-ins and Van thefts in the UK at present, we are very proud that Vanolarm clearly goes above and beyond in terms of its anti-theft credentials.

SO WHY NEW VANOLARM OFFERING?

So having listened to our client (inc none client) base over the past few years, we noted that some clients were not too tech savvy, some struggled with placement of the smart alarm units in terms of receiving strong GPS communication or already had a GPS and just wanted an alarm system. Knowing that one of the key deterrents of the Vanolarm system was the sirens activating PRIOR to entry or damage, we’ve decided to offer clients the choice of a new System Vanolarm Lite as an even better value for money choice over our standard Vanolarm Smart GPS system.

SO WHAT WILL VANOLARM LITE OFFER?

Vanolarm Lite comes with:-

NEW – Visual Deterrant on 2 x Red LED lights to the front of each unit, so when the thief looks through the window of your vehicle, they can instantly appreciate that it is fitted with an alarm system.

NEW – As the siren units will be slightly larger than the standard sirens, then we have been able to increase the battery capacity to 2 x AA batteries (over 3 x AAA). Along with a new computer chip board design, this means we have dramatically improved the battery life expectancy of the siren unit to an average of 1 year life and the remote control to 2-3 years life, whilst still retaining the low battery warning technology also.

NEW – We have introduced a new design of remote control fob, which allows the alarm to be controlled from a greater distance (up to 60m) as well as being more robust in your pocket.

NEW– We have improved the Waterproof rating of the Siren unit from IP65 to IP66, meaning they’re even more waterproof. This means if you want to mount the siren units externally as well as internally to further dissuade theft, then you can do.

NEW – As well as dissuading break-ins prior to entry using its clever, anti-false alarm, vibration technology (designed to pick up any external lock tampering, door handle pulling etc), Vanolarm lite also comes with magnetic door sensors. Why the two options, well its easy, we noted that with a lot of our Camper Can, Motor home and Caravan clients that they were concerned they couldn’t leave pets in their vehicle when the standard alarm was set or had concerns about sleeping in the vehicle overnight and their vibration sensor setting off whilst moving about in their sleep. So by adding a magnetic door sensor, the client can choose to turn the vibration sensor off, arm the magnetic door sensor instead and if anyone tries to force entry the van (open door/window), then the sirens will sound.

IMPROVED – Finally, although Vanolarm is still increadable value and at least 50% less than our nearest like-for-like competitor, some clients still struggle to justify the cost. Vanolarm lite is designed to suit ‘all pockets’ with prices currently planned to be from only £24.95 for a one door system to £72.95 for a five door system.
